Founder of Esoteric Tattoo, Dominick has been perfecting the art of realism with a psychedelic twist—a master of merging elements from various artistic realms. Dominick began his tattoo career in 2003, apprenticing under Eric Skramstad at Edge Tattoo in Pawtucket, RI. He has since tattooed at several shops around the country, and moved to Portland, Oregon in 2006. After tattooing at Living Art Tattoo for three years, he co-founded Dead Gods Tattoo in Tigard. In 2015, he founded Esoteric Tattoo. Dominick has won many awards locally and abroad for his large scale and realistic work, and has been published in Tattoo, International Tattoo Art, Skin and Ink, Tattoo Energy, and several others. His work has been featured online by Juxtapoz and BMEzine.

Freehand clouds/nebula on Rin’s neck meat! We’ll be adding a solar flare on the other side. Geometric sunflower is healed

“The Torch” original painting by the great Alex Grey @alexgreycosm done in 4 painstaking sittings for Patrick. Flaming eye is fresh, the rest is healed. We’ll be entering it in Best Color at Evergreen @evergreentattooinvitational

Jocelyn graciously stepped in and got a memorial tattoo of her sweet lil doggie ❤️Thank you!

Pictures don’t really do it justice. One of my favorite tattoos of 2024, healed and settled. Kandis embodies the phoenix, and is a lovely, determined woman. Thanks for the trust!!

The design heavily references Alex Grey artwork, to whom I owe a great debt. Thank you @alexgreycosm

I’ve been using Radiant colors a lot lately, and the warm tones are unreal! Finally getting to the highlights on Ryan’s leg sleeve, and I can’t wait to finish it! couple sessions left

Lucky Charms ice cream cone from PDX legends #saltandstraw @saltandstraw I guess i have to try it haha!

Did this seraphim on my good buddy Mason to cap off his Alex Grey sleeve! Holy ouch

Scott had multiple knee surgeries, so this biomechanical knee tattoo reflects the reality! Plus we’re covering up multiple scars. Mostly healed :)

Finished up Nick’s #hermes tattoo at @seattletattooexpo on Saturday! It was great to reconnect with an old friend whom I’ve been tattooing since 2009. I did my first ever Alex Grey reproduction on Nick’s leg :)

Cosmic mantis shrimp ❤️ Thanks Josh for making the trip from Astoria and letting me cook! Four sessions of hard work 🧜‍♂️

Finished one of Mick’s two daughters, based on Alex Grey’s Wonder (Zena Gazing at the Moon)

A couple more sits and the back will finally be done!

This was a daunting task: fit a throat tattoo that interlocks with Ashleigh’s chest and neck pieces. What a tough gal!

General: Dominick books about 3 months in advance. He takes a $200 deposit, and charges $250 an hour with a $750 minimum per session.

Priority Projects: Full-color realism projects with intricate designs.

Business Hours: Mon-Thurs 12pm-6pm

Hourly Rate: $250/hr
